Marguerite Kendall, born Indianapolis, IN, Nov. 5, 1891, married J. Russel Robinson in Atlanta, GA on Nov. 20, 1909, and died in New York July 6, 1921. She evidently was the inspiration for her husband’s hit song of 1920, “Margie”, at least according to one news report.

From their passport application in 1919, when the Robinsons went to England with the Original Dixieland Jazz Band. The leader of that band, Nick LaRocca, vouched for them on the application.
